In 2008 we launched our "Award Winning"* AAH/Novartis flu vaccination service, offering our pharmacists the opportunity to provide their patients with a flu service. This was the first time in the UK that such a service had been launched under the guidance of a private Patient Group Direction (PGD).

Both the customer and patient response was overwhelming, with thousands of patients being vaccinated. Following on from this pharmacist uptake for the 2009 flu vaccine programme increased fourfold.

Most recently we have introduced an Allergy service for pharmacy. Working closely with our partner we jointly developed the full service from research and clinical writing to implementation and delivery.
