We're All About YOU
A new consumer magazine available in independent pharmacies throughout the UK has been launched by AAH Pharmaceuticals’ All About Health service.
It is packed full of health and wellbeing advice, lifestyle tips and gives independent pharmacists added value to support their patients the company says.
The first issue, delivered to nigh on 1,000 All About Health pharmacies in the first week of February, features an interview with celebrity stylist Gok Wan on how he shed ten stone, a column by the Men’s Health Forum explaining how best to engage with the male population and some top tips on pain management and smoking cessation from pharmacist Ajit Malhi.
Christine James, customer communications and marketing manager for the company said: “This new magazine will enable independent pharmacists to engage with their customers as they walk through the door and guide them through the lifestyle and wellbeing advice between its pages.
“All About Health is totally driven by member need and they will have ample opportunity to play an active part in creating the magazine by participating in the regular slots on offer.
“In addition, it pinpoints further online resources, including our on-line health checks to manage a bespoke plan of action between patient and pharmacist to achieve some personal health goals if necessary.”
Delivered on a quarterly basis and with a distribution of 200,000 UK wide, the magazine was created following research that was delivered in partnership with the Patients Association. The findings were startling and confirmed that there is a clear and defined need to promote pharmacy to a public that is widely unaware of the services on offer at their local pharmacy.
Mark James, group managing director for AAH commented: “We broke new ground last year when we set this programme in motion and the sign up rate and research findings have demonstrated that we have uncovered issues that needed addressing.
“By introducing this free consumer magazine in only our first year we have once again underlined our commitment to independent pharmacy. Whilst giving people a modern, informative and fun read to take home we’re also supporting the relationship between pharmacy and patient.”
