Fuel Surcharge

Due to recent increases in fuel prices AAH has confirmed that from 1 January 2010 its monthly fuel surcharge will be £6.75. Customers will see the surcharge in their statement which relates to January. Commenting on the decision Mark James, Group Managing Director of AAH Pharmaceuticals Ltd, said, "Customers will have seen for themselves that fuel prices have increased significantly in recent months. I want to reiterate that AAH has set the surcharge at the lowest level possible to cover our additional fuel costs. I appreciate customers do not like the surcharge, but hope they will understand why it is necessary in order to allow us to continue to provide the service which our customers require from us. We remain convinced that fuel surcharges should be a claimable expense and believe that the time has come for the Health Departments to allow this. We will constantly review the situation and our hope is that fuel prices will fall to a point where the surcharge can be reduced to zero, as happened previously. However, if prices continue on an upward trend then we will need to apply an appropriate surcharge to reflect the additional cost incurred".
